In Sesame Street season 32 episode 3928, the beloved characters of Sesame Street celebrate Nursery Rhyme Day! The episode starts with Big Bird introducing the day to his friends and explaining how nursery rhymes have been entertaining children for generations.
The show then kicks off with a rendition of "Hey Diddle Diddle." As the characters sing, they realize they don't know what a "fiddle" is. They decide to ask legendary musician Yo-Yo Ma, who happens to be on Sesame Street that day. Yo-Yo Ma explains what a fiddle is and even plays a tune on his cello.
Next up is "Humpty Dumpty." Abby Cadabby tries to cast a spell to help Humpty Dumpty not fall off the wall but instead ends turning him into a chicken. Luckily, Super Grover comes to the rescue and puts Humpty Dumpty back together again.
The characters then move on to "Mary Had a Little Lamb." Elmo and Rosita sing and dance as they follow a real-life lamb around Sesame Street. They even get to meet the lamb's owner and learn about how she cares for her animals.
After the lamb adventure, it's time for "Little Miss Muffet." Only this time, Miss Muffet teaches the characters about healthy eating habits. She swaps out her bowl of curds and whey for a bowl of yogurt and berries, explaining to the group the benefits of eating nutritious foods.
The next nursery rhyme is "Little Bo Peep." This time, Abby Cadabby tries to help Bo Peep find her sheep using a magic spell. The spell goes awry, and Bo Peep's sheep end up multiplying! The characters work together to round up the extra sheep and return them to Bo Peep.
The final nursery rhyme of the day is "Jack and Jill." Grover and Cookie Monster take on the roles of Jack and Jill and go up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Along the way, they stumble upon a bakery and end up getting sidetracked sampling all the sweets. Eventually, they make it up the hill and back down with a pail of water for their friends.
Throughout the episode, there are also interactive segments where children can sing and dance along to classic nursery rhymes. Additionally, several guests make appearances in different nursery rhyme-themed segments, including musician Wynton Marsalis and author and illustrator Mo Willems.
Overall, Sesame Street season 32 episode 3928 is a fun-filled celebration of nursery rhymes and the joy they bring to children. As always, the beloved Sesame Street characters combine learning with entertainment to create a memorable and educational experience for young viewers.
