Ep 1. Episode 1

In the premiere episode of "Servant of the People," we are introduced to Vasyl Petrovych Holoborodko, a high school history teacher in Ukraine who's fed up with the corrupt politics plaguing his country. One day, after confronting his boss about a bribe he was asked to pay, Vasyl becomes an overnight sensation when a video of his impassioned rant goes viral.

Suddenly thrust into the spotlight, Vasyl gains a massive following of supporters who see him as a beacon of hope in a society overrun by greed and backroom deals. Despite his initial reluctance to enter politics, Vasyl agrees to run for office—with the backing of his newfound fans, of course.

But things only get more complicated from there. As Vasyl begins his campaign, he quickly realizes that he has no idea what he's doing. With no experience in politics, he fumbles through awkward interviews, struggles to connect with potential voters, and faces constant ridicule from his opponents.

Adding to the chaos are Vasyl's personal issues. His wife is unhappy with his decision to run for office, and his teenage son is embarrassed by his sudden fame. On top of all that, Vasyl has to deal with a corrupt system that seems determined to keep him from winning.

Despite all the obstacles, Vasyl remains determined to fight for what he believes in, no matter the cost. With his unwavering dedication to honesty and transparency, he becomes a symbol of hope for the people of Ukraine—especially for those who have spent their entire lives feeling powerless against the government.

As the first season of "Servant of the People" unfolds, we see Vasyl struggle to make sense of his new life as a political figurehead. We also see the toll that his campaign takes on his family and friends, and the ways in which his opponents try to take him down.

Throughout it all, though, Vasyl never wavers from his core values. Even when the pressure gets to be too much, he continues to fight for what he believes in.
