In Sell This House season 3 episode 3 titled "Los Angeles, CA - Roy Berry, Sr.," viewers are taken on a journey through the home of Roy Berry Sr. The home, located in the Greater Los Angeles area, is a spacious property with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Roy’s daughter, Alesia, reached out to the team for help in getting the home sold.

The Sell This House team, comprised of designer Roger Hazard, host Tanya Memme, and general contractor Charlie Frattini, visit the home to assess what needs to be done in order to get the home market ready. Upon arrival, they notice that the home’s exterior could use a facelift, the landscaping needs work, and the interior of the home shows signs of neglect.

The team begins by addressing the home’s curb appeal. They replace the driveway, which is in disrepair, with a new concrete one, install new garage doors, and update the front porch area. They add potted plants to the porch, and repaint the front door. The team also takes care of the landscaping, pruning bushes and adding new plants and mulch to the flower beds.

Once inside the home, the team begins to tackle the interior. The home is in need of a deep cleaning, and there are various items that need to be removed to make the home appear more spacious. Roger sets to work redesigning the living room, adding neutral-colored furniture and accessories, which help create a warm and inviting space. He also addresses the outdated curtains, opting to add new, modern window treatments that allow more light to enter the home.

Tanya tackles the dining area, swapping out the old furniture for a new dining set. She also adds a new area rug to help distinguish the dining area from the rest of the space. Tanya’s biggest project in this episode, however, is the kitchen. The Sell This House team transforms the outdated and cluttered space by getting rid of excess items, giving the walls a fresh coat of paint, and adding new countertops and hardware. The kitchen renovation was a critical selling point for the home, and Tanya knew that she had to knock it out of the park to help attract potential buyers.

Finally, Charlie takes on the home’s two bathrooms. Both bathrooms were in need of some major updates, with dated fixtures and dingy tiles. Charlie replaces the fixtures, and adds new tiles and a fresh coat of paint to give both bathrooms a modern look.

Throughout the episode, there were a number of challenges that came up that the Sell This House team had to tackle. For example, when removing a piece of furniture, the team discovered a hidden door. Concerned about the unknown, Charlie drills into the door and discovers that it leads to a crawl space, letting the team know that it wasn't a safety hazard.

Overall, the Sell This House team took a home that was in need of some TLC and turned it into a beautiful and move-in ready property. With the updates to the home's interior, exterior, and landscaping, potential buyers were sure to be impressed and ready to make an offer.
