Season 3

Ep 14. Brooklyn, NY - Gerry Campbell

  • September 18, 2005

Gerry Campbell and his two children live in a classic three-story, six bedroom home near NYC. All those rooms are hard to maintain, so it's time to downsize. But first, they've got to interest a buyer. Open house guests are turned off by the clutter in the entry. It seems to be a closet and a computer room. The living room suffers from neglect and is dark and dreary. The kitchen is full of junk and proves to be a veritable obstacle course. But worst of all, there's a big water stain in the ceiling from a previous leak. Design Consultant Roger makes quick work of the entry by getting everybody to help pitch in to remove clutter and paint. Then we tackle the living room and paint it a similar, but lighter color, to maintain continuity. The excess furniture has got to go. In the kitchen, clutter and bric-a-brac vanish and we hire a professional painter to get rid of the stain. And you won't want to miss the heights host Tanya Memme will climb to let in more natural light.
