Jerry and George attend a party with Elaine where they witness Elaine's co-worker, a petite woman named Peggy, doing an awkward dance move that Elaine deems "little kicks." The trio can't help but find humor in Peggy's dance moves and continue to mock her after leaving the party. Meanwhile, Kramer decides to start a new business venture by creating a coffee table book about coffee tables.
Elaine begins to put pressure on Peggy's boss, Mr. Lippman, to fire her. However, Mr. Lippman surprisingly enjoys Peggy's dance moves and invites her to perform at his birthday party. Elaine is horrified at the thought of Peggy's little kicks being on display and begs Kramer to distract Mr. Lippman during the party.
In the meantime, George becomes obsessed with trying to understand why women find men who dance well so attractive. He enlists the help of a dance instructor at the party, but things quickly go awry when George accidentally elbows her in the face.
At the party, Elaine's worst fears come true when Peggy takes the stage to perform her little kicks. The rest of the partygoers, however, are impressed and join in on the dance. Even Elaine can't help but join in on the fun.
Meanwhile, Kramer's distraction of Mr. Lippman goes awry when he accidentally sets the coffee table book on fire. This causes chaos at the party, but also helps to distract from Peggy's dance performance.
The episode ends with Jerry and Elaine discussing the irony of Peggy's little kicks becoming a hit, while Kramer realizes that the burning of his coffee table book could actually be a selling point. The group leaves Mr. Lippman's party amused and satisfied.
