Ep 7. The Secret Code

Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer all have their individual secrets. In the episode, The Secret Code, Jerry discovers Kramer’s odd behavior where he is talking in his sleep and calls him out on it. Kramer confesses to dreaming about a woman whom he calls “Cosmo” as he tells Jerry that he has a crush on a woman from his health club and made a mixtape for her.

Meanwhile, Elaine comes in possession of a piece of paper with her wealthy boss’s private code. She thinks that the code is for his beeper but after approaching him on the topic, she is told that the code is actually for a safe where the man keeps his valuable antique gun collection. As Elaine freaks out at the thought of her boss hiding weapons, her curiosity leads her to attempt to unravel the mysterious code.

George, on the other hand, creates a scheme to get a discount at a local video store with the help of his friend Lloyd Braun, who has already achieved success in business and is always keen to give George advice. George discovers an expired long-term video offer whereby he records movies off-air and trades them with the video store to receive new releases. As Lloyd tries to help him get rid of overstock copies of the Airport ‘79 movie, things get complicated as George has a hard time getting his plans to kick off.

As the episodes progress, Jerry tries to help Kramer, the woman who he referred to as “Cosmo” by getting her to sleep with Kramer. However, on the night of the actual date, Jerry spies on them and sees that the woman is actually a friend of Elaine's whom Kramer claims to hate. He realises he has been tricked into setting up the two of them, and the encounter turns out to be awkward.

Meanwhile, Elaine's obsession with her boss’s secret code leads to an unfortunate situation where the code gets compromised, and one of the antique guns end up in the possession of a criminal. Though Elaine attempts to cover up her error, her boss eventually discovers that she knows the code and is not pleased.

In the end, George's scheme to score discounted videos fails as he is banned from the store. Kramer covers for Elaine's misappropriation of the boss's code, and with Jerry's plan for Kramer foiled, he is back to talking in his dreams again.
