In the Seinfeld season 7 episode 12 titled "The Caddy", Jerry makes the decision to go out on a limb and help his former girlfriend, who has now become a successful screenwriter, when he tells her about an idea for a movie. Meanwhile, George helps out his friend who is a caddy at a local golf course, by reintroducing him to his former high school crush, which ultimately leads to disastrous results. Kramer, on the other hand, is trying to avoid having to deliver bad news to a dying child in the hospital that he had befriended by convincing him that Michael Jordan will visit him soon.

As the episode starts, Jerry learns that his old flame, who he still has feelings for, has become a successful screenwriter and decides to pitch her an idea for a film that he considers to be really good, although it is essentially a remake of The Godfather. The two quickly start discussing script ideas and even get physically intimate in the process. Things take a turn when Jerry starts getting a taste of what it's like to date a "move star," including having to constantly be with her bodyguard and being left at the movies with no ride home.

Meanwhile, George is trying to help out his friend, who works as a caddy at a golf course and has a crush on a woman he used to go to high school with. George tries to setup a date between the two, but things go haywire when he takes an unexpected trip to the tennis court. As the date progresses, the caddy ends up in all sorts of crazy mishaps, and it seems like the date will ultimately be a disaster.

Lastly, Kramer befriends a dying child in the hospital and promises him that Michael Jordan will come and visit him in the hospital. He goes as far as to create a Nike ad that imitates MJ's iconic slam dunk to send a message to him. Kramer's behavior ends up shaking up both the child and his parents, causing him to become a pariah in the hospital.

As the episode wraps up, Jerry and his screenwriter friend come to a compromise, while George finds himself in a humorous situation and Kramer ends up having to live up to his promise to the dying child. All in all, the episode is filled with laughs and continues to showcase the unique storytelling format that has made Seinfield such a classic show.
