Ep 11. The Conversion

Jerry's friendship with a childhood friend named Joel comes under strain when the latter decides to convert to Judaism. Feeling that Joel is trying too hard to impress him and other Jewish people he knows, Jerry hopes to straighten things out by pointing out to his friend that they can make fun of their own kind. Meanwhile, Elaine tries to convert a gay man to heterosexuality after finding out that he was hit on by a woman. She becomes upset when, despite her best efforts, he doesn't return her feelings towards him. Finally, Kramer takes on the role of Jewish matchmaker, trying to set up Jerry's newly single uncle with Elaine's friend Cynthia. However, Kramer's plans to get the romance started over dinner at a kosher restaurant go awry when he accidentally orders a lobster.
