Jerry starts obsessing over a woman whom he refers to as "Sidra," after she suggests to Jerry that she has breast implants. He becomes more and more convinced that Sidra's breasts are too perfect; they are "fake, fake, fake!" Meanwhile, the NBC executives are considering giving Jerry and George a deal to create a sitcom based on their lives; they're flown out to Los Angeles to discuss the proposal.
At the same time, Elaine dates a man named Roy, whose last name no one can pronounce correctly. She becomes increasingly self-conscious about her indiscreet "toe-Stubber" dance, after Jerry criticizes her when she does it in a limo ride with him and Sidra. Kramer suggests that Roy's last name is not only pronounceable, but legendary in the undergarment industry; Klausman.
While in LA, George suggests to the NBC President that his own memo should be added to the Jerry and George sitcom proposal. Although he doesn't have permission from Steinbrenner to do so, he hopes that the NBC executives will meet with Steinbrenner to discuss the matter. George frequently mentions the "memo," even in casual conversation, but no one seems to care. After they leave the NBC executives' offices, they stop to make a call from a public phone booth on the side of the street. The box infuriates George to the point that he can't hold back and pushes it over, just as a police car arrives. They end up getting arrested.
Meanwhile, Jerry obsesses even more over Sidra's breasts after a revealing incident in which he accidentally elbows one. He asks Elaine to feel them so that they can confirm once and for all whether they are real or not. Elaine reluctantly agrees to help and spends the rest of the episode trying to find a comfortable way to touch Sidra's chest without either of them making it look like a sexually suggestive gesture.
Elaine also becomes increasingly fed up with Roy and his inability to communicate with anyone in the "real" world. She eventually decides to break up with him after he takes her out to a local rodeo, where she falls off a mechanical bull and breaks her rib.
Back in New York, where George and Jerry have returned, they learn that the police report from their arrest has been leaked to NBC and that the executive they are dealing with is now making fun of George's name (Cartwright). The episode culminates in a famous scene where they confront Sidra about her breasts, and Jerry's claim that they are fake, to which her fierce response is "They're real, and they’re spectacular."
The episode ends with Jerry and George calling each other immediately to tell them about the fallout of their meeting with the NBC executives. They agree that the opportunity is too good to pass up and that they will keep working on it. Jerry, still obsessing over Sidra's breasts, asks George if he believes her, to which George responds: "Are you kidding? I can't even understand the language she's speaking!"
