Jerry, George, and Elaine are out at a restaurant when they witness a hit-and-run accident. While Jerry is more concerned about getting a good story for his comedian act, George and Elaine take the more responsible route and work to ensure that the victim receives medical attention. However, when the victim ends up in a coma and the driver remains unidentified, George becomes fixated on finding the culprit and receives assistance from a model and philanthropist named Heather, whom he believes to be his good Samaritan. Meanwhile, Jerry's reluctance to get involved in the situation leads to tension between him and Elaine, who feels that he should do more to help. As the episode progresses, Jerry starts to see the error of his ways, and George discovers that Heather's altruistic behavior may not be entirely sincere. The episode culminates in a dramatic reveal of the identity of the hit-and-run driver, which has far-reaching consequences for the characters involved.
