Ross' historic property boasts a luxurious pool, a stunning courtyard, and an underground entertainment complex. The Secret Lives of the Super Rich crew gains access to Ross' extensive car collection and explores how the hip-hop star's millions enabled him to live a life of luxury.
The episode also takes viewers to a jaw-dropping underground estate in Texas that can only be reached via a 250-foot-long tunnel. Owned by a financial executive, the subterranean space consists of four bedrooms, a home theater, a pool, an outdoor kitchen, and even a putting green. The Secret Lives of the Super Rich team gives viewers an inside look at how the well-heeled live and the nearly-unlimited resources that they command.
In Miami, the Secret Lives of the Super Rich crew gets unprecedented access to the 3000 square foot, multi-million dollar home of Rick Ross. The enormous home has more than 200 pieces of artwork and a ton of custom-made furniture. The home was originally built in the 1930s and was renovated by Ross to his liking. The main house has six bedrooms and eleven bathrooms, along with its own chef's kitchen. Ross even has cooking instruction from world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. But the main highlight of the house is the 350,000-gallon pool that comes equipped with a champagne bar.
Rick Ross is known for his priceless car collection which consists of Bentleys, Ferraris, and Maybachs. All the cars are parked beneath a custom-built car port, which is the size of the house. Ross is proud of his collection and explains in detail, how he decided on what cars to buy and how he customized each car. He seems to have a particular fondness for his candy-red 458 Ferrari.
In addition to admiring Ross' car collection, the Secret Lives of the Super Rich team also spends time in his subterranean night club. The club is hidden beneath the mansion’s courtyard and was designed by Wilfredo Emanuel. The club is expertly soundproofed and has a recording studio. This is where Ross records most of his hit tracks. The club has a 6,000-pound door that shuts off the nightclub from the rest of the house, giving Ross and his guests the ultimate privacy when they want to party.
On the other side of the country, in Texas, the Secret Lives of the Super Rich team meets a financial executive who has chosen to build his home underground. The Texas home is built on 1000 acres of land, and the only non-natural feature above ground is a modest entrance that leads to a 250-foot-long underground tunnel. The tunnel takes visitors into a massive four-bedroom underground estate that features every luxurious amenity, including a gourmet kitchen, swimming pool, spa, putting green, and even a $2 million art collection. The underground living space is illuminated by an extensive skylight system that gives the space natural light. The home even has a private helipad.
The Secret Lives of the Super Rich team takes viewers through the unique, subterranean world that the financial executive has created, highlighting its unique features and showing viewers how the other half lives. From Rick Ross' multi-million dollar mansion to the Texas underground estate, this episode is filled with magnificent homes of the rich and famous.
