In seaQuest DSV season 1 episode 7, titled "Give MeLiberte,"Captain Bridger and his crew are tasked with stopping a group of radical environmentalists who are trying to destroy a newly-discovered underwater oil deposit. The group, led by a woman named Dr. Rachel Ortega, believes that humans have destroyed the natural world and that they need to return to a state of pre-industrialization in order to save the planet. They have decided that destroying the oil deposit will send a message to the world that they are serious about their cause.

Captain Bridger and his crew are divided on how to handle the situation. Some, like Lieutenant Krieg, believe that the environmentalists have a point and that the oil deposit should be left untouched. Others, like Lt. Commander Ford, believe that the oil will bring much-needed economic growth to the region and that the environmentalists' methods are too extreme.

As the seaQuest approaches the oil deposit, they come under attack from Ortega's submarine. Lieutenant Krieg takes it upon himself to board the enemy vessel and confront the environmentalists. He discovers that Ortega has a personal stake in the fight, as her father was killed in an oil rig explosion many years ago. Krieg tries to reason with her, but she is determined to carry out her plan.

Meanwhile, on board the seaQuest, Dr. Kristin Westphalen and Lieutenant Brody are working on a way to disarm the bomb that the environmentalists have planted at the oil deposit. They come up with a plan to flood the area with a chemical that will render the bomb inactive. However, they only have a limited amount of time to carry out their plan before the bomb detonates and causes a catastrophic explosion.

As the seaQuest races against the clock to stop the environmentalists, Captain Bridger makes the difficult decision to use force if necessary. He knows that it may cost him the support of some of his crew, but he believes that it is the only way to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

In the end, the seaQuest is able to neutralize the bomb and stop Ortega and her followers from carrying out their plan. However, the episode leaves the question of environmental responsibility and the value of natural resources open for discussion.

"Give Me Liberte" is a thought-provoking episode that tackles issues of environmentalism, economic growth, and personal responsibility. The seaQuest crew must navigate complex moral and ethical dilemmas as they try to stop the radical environmentalists from carrying out their plans. The episode is a reminder of the importance of responsible stewardship of the environment and the difficult choices that must be made in order to ensure the well-being of future generations.
