Ep 4. Shut Your Parent Trap

Sean Saves the World is an American sitcom that follows the life of Sean, a single gay dad, who juggles his personal and professional life while raising his teenage daughter. Sean is alarmed by what he sees on the website and decides to infiltrate the organization to see what's going on. With the help of his assistant Liz, Sean manages to create a fake profile on the website and joins the group posing as a teenager looking for advice.

Sean quickly realizes that the group is full of teenagers who are trying to get away with various things such as staying out late, going to parties, and dating without their parents' permission. Sean also discovers that the guy Ellie is seeing is actually a 20-year-old college student, which flips Sean's protective parent switch into overdrive. Sean decides to stage a fake date with Ellie at the restaurant where the guy works in order to confront him.

At the restaurant, Sean tries to scare the guy away, but this approach backfires and the guy becomes even more interested in Ellie. Sean gets mad and threatens the guy, who then reveals that he also has a father who's overbearing, which is why he sympathizes with Ellie and wanted to help her out. Sean realizes that perhaps he overreacted and that Ellie should be allowed to make her own decisions.

In the end, Sean and Ellie have an honest conversation about trust and the importance of communication. Ellie apologizes for not telling her dad the truth about the guy she's seeing, while Sean realizes that he needs to trust his daughter and give her more freedom to make her own choices.
