J.D. and Turk are excited to be working on a project together, but their excitement quickly fades when they realize that they have opposing views on how to approach it.
Meanwhile, Elliot and Carla team up to help a patient who is going through a rough time. The patient, Mrs. Zabriski, is an older woman who has been widowed for a year and misses her husband terribly. Elliot and Carla try to cheer her up by singing and dancing to a popular song from the 60s, but when their efforts fall flat, they enlist the help of the Janitor to make Mrs. Zabriski's day.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Dr. Cox is struggling with the fact that he has to fire one of his residents. Although the resident is not up to par, Dr. Cox has grown attached to him and doesn't want to let him go.
As the episode unfolds, J.D. and Turk's project takes a backseat to the more pressing matters at hand. They discover that their differences can actually be beneficial and work together to help Mrs. Zabriski, provide Dr. Cox with some much-needed perspective, and ultimately learn the value of compromise.
"My Nah Nah Nah" is a touching episode that showcases the relationships between the characters and the challenges they face as healthcare professionals. While it tackles some heavy themes, it also has moments of humor and levity that make it a standout episode in the series.
