In Scrubs season 8 episode 10 titled "My Comedy Show", the Janitor invites J.D. and Turk to help him put up a comedy show at the hospital. Unbeknownst to them, the Janitor has a hidden agenda - he wants to use the show to humiliate Dr. Cox in front of the entire staff.
J.D. and Turk are initially hesitant to get involved, but they eventually agree after the Janitor promises them a spot in the show. However, they soon realize that the Janitor's plans for the show are much more elaborate than they originally thought. He has recruited a group of amateur comedians, including Ted and Doug, to perform alongside J.D. and Turk.
As the show gets closer, tensions start to rise between the performers. J.D. and Turk struggle to come up with material that is both funny and appropriate for a hospital audience, while Ted and Doug bicker over who should get more stage time. Meanwhile, the Janitor becomes increasingly fixated on his plan to humiliate Dr. Cox, and goes to great lengths to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
On the day of the show, the performers gather in the hospital auditorium to rehearse. J.D. and Turk's jokes fall flat, and Ted and Doug's routines are painfully unfunny. The Janitor attempts to salvage the situation by announcing a surprise guest - a famous comedian who he claims will be performing at the show. However, when the comedian turns out to be a washed-up has-been, the audience quickly starts to lose interest.
As the show drags on, the Janitor's plan to humiliate Dr. Cox begins to unravel. His attempts at humor fall flat, and the audience starts to turn on him. Just when it seems like the show can't get any worse, J.D. and Turk take the stage for their final act. To everyone's surprise, they perform a hilarious musical number that brings the house down.
In the end, the Janitor's scheme is exposed, and he is forced to face the consequences of his actions. J.D. and Turk's performance is the highlight of the show, and they receive a standing ovation from the audience. Despite the chaos that ensued, the comedy show ultimately brought the hospital staff together and reminded them of the importance of laughter in the face of adversity.
