In the season 6 episode 12 of Scrubs, titled "My Fishbowl," the focus is on Turk and Carla's struggling marriage and the challenges they face as new parents.
The episode begins with Turk and Carla adjusting to life with their newborn daughter, Isabella. They are both exhausted and overwhelmed, struggling to balance the demands of being first-time parents with their jobs as doctors. Meanwhile, J.D. is trying to win the affection of a new nurse, Katie, who is resistant to his advances.
As Turk and Carla deal with their marital issues, they find themselves in couples' therapy with their therapist, Dr. Taylor. As Turk and Carla attempt to follow Dr. Taylor's advice, they find that their problems are more deeply rooted than they initially thought. They begin to question whether they are truly happy in their marriage, and whether they are capable of being good parents.
Meanwhile, J.D. continues to pursue Katie, but his efforts are in vain. He becomes increasingly obsessive, even going so far as to stalk her on social media. When he finally confronts her about his feelings, she rejects him and he is left heartbroken.
Back at the hospital, Turk and Carla are faced with a difficult medical case involving a young boy with a rare condition. As they work together to try and save his life, they begin to realize the importance of supporting each other both in their personal and professional lives.
In the end, Turk and Carla decide to give their marriage another chance and commit to working on their relationship. J.D. also learns a valuable lesson about respecting boundaries and the importance of letting go.
