My Philosophy is the 13th episode of the second season of the medical comedy-drama series Scrubs. The episode, which runs for approximately 22 minutes, was written by Eric Weinberg and directed by Adam Bernstein.

The episode opens with one of J.D's internal monologues in which he reflects on his philosophy of life. He believes that life is about two things - love and learning. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox is seen berating J.D for making a mistake while treating a patient. He tells J.D that he needs to be more careful and aware of his surroundings if he wants to be a good doctor.

Next, we see Elliot struggling with the fact that her friend Molly is being taken off life support. She is upset that she will never get a chance to say goodbye to her friend. Elliot is also dealing with the fact that her father is getting remarried. She is angry that her father is moving on so quickly after her mother's death.

Meanwhile, Turk is trying to find a private place to have sex with Carla. He can't seem to find a place where they won't be interrupted by his residents or nurses. He even tries to convince J.D to take a patient off his hands so he can have some alone time with Carla. J.D is too busy dealing with his own problems to help Turk out.

Dr. Kelso has also made an announcement that everyone at the hospital must sing in the choir for the annual charity event. Everyone seems to be unhappy about it, except for Ted who is excited to finally have a chance to showcase his talents. Dr. Cox is also not thrilled about it and tells J.D that he refuses to participate.

As the day goes on, J.D gets into an argument with Carla about his philosophy of life. She tells him that life is not just about love and learning, it's also about making money and being successful. J.D is upset that Carla doesn't share his beliefs and wonders if they are right for each other.

Meanwhile, Dr. Cox is still berating J.D for his mistake earlier in the day. He tells him that if he wants to be a good doctor, he needs to learn how to take responsibility for his actions and not make excuses. J.D takes this advice to heart and decides to go apologize to his patient for his mistake.

Elliot is still struggling with Molly's impending death. She decides to talk to Dr. Kelso about it, but he is not much help. He tells her that death is a part of life and that she needs to learn how to deal with it. Elliot is upset that Dr. Kelso doesn't seem to care about her feelings and wonders if he has become too jaded over the years.

The episode ends with J.D giving a monologue about his philosophy of life. He realizes that life is not just about love and learning or being successful and making money. It's about finding balance between all these things and learning to appreciate the good moments in life.

Overall, My Philosophy is a well-written and thought-provoking episode of Scrubs. It tackles some heavy themes such as death and the meaning of life, but still manages to inject humor into the storyline. The character development is also strong, with each character dealing with their own personal struggles. It's a must-watch for Scrubs fans and anyone who enjoys a good comedy that still manages to have heart.
