As season 2 of Scrubs begins, JD is still struggling to adjust to life as a full-time resident at Sacred Heart Hospital. In the season premiere episode entitled "My Overkill," JD finds himself feeling overwhelmed by his workload and frustrated by the lack of respect he receives from some of the attending physicians. Meanwhile, Turk tries to help a patient named Mr. Corman who is suffering from an unusual symptom known as "freezing." Dr. Cox, meanwhile, has his own struggles to deal with, as he tries to come to terms with the end of his relationship with Jordan.

The episode kicks off with JD walking down the hospital corridor, feeling like he's drowning under a sea of paperwork and unfamiliar medical jargon. As he stops to talk to his best friend and fellow resident, Turk, he confesses that he feels like he's not making any progress in his career, and worries that he's never going to be a "real doctor." Turk, ever the supportive friend, tries to reassure JD that he's doing fine and that he'll get the hang of things eventually.

Meanwhile, Turk has his own patient to deal with - the aforementioned Mr. Corman, who is suffering from freezing. "Freezing" is a rare and puzzling symptom, which causes the patient to become completely immobilized at random intervals. Turk is determined to get to the bottom of Mr. Corman's condition, but soon finds himself struggling to come up with a diagnosis.

Dr. Cox, for his part, is dealing with the fallout from his breakup with Jordan. Although he's trying to play it cool, he's clearly still hurt and angry about the way things ended. When JD tries to offer him some words of encouragement, Dr. Cox snaps back, telling him he doesn't need any help from someone who's "still in pull-ups."

As the day wears on, JD continues to feel like he's floundering. He's assigned to work with Dr. Kelso, a gruff and unapproachable attending physician who's not known for his patience with residents. JD tries to impress Dr. Kelso with his medical knowledge, but only manages to get on the older man's bad side.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Turk is still trying to figure out what's causing Mr. Corman's freezing. He enlists the help of various other doctors and nurses, but no one seems to have any clue what's going on. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox is dealing with his own difficult case: a patient named Mrs. Wilk, who insists on hearing a diagnosis of her condition despite the fact that Dr. Cox can't give her one.

As the day wears on, tensions begin to rise. JD becomes increasingly frustrated with Dr. Kelso's condescending attitude, while Turk becomes more and more desperate as he fails to find a diagnosis for Mr. Corman. In the end, JD and Turk come together to help each other out - JD provides Turk with some much-needed encouragement and support, while Turk manages to finally diagnose Mr. Corman's condition.

As the episode draws to a close, it's clear that the characters of Scrubs are still struggling to find their place in the hectic world of Sacred Heart Hospital. But despite the challenges they face, they continue to support each other and work together, finding solace in their shared experiences and their unwavering commitment to the medical profession.
