In School Rumble season 2 episode 7, titled "Fight, Hunter! Fight, Eater! Fight, Part Timer!", the story of Tenma and her friends in Yagami High School continues. The episode centers around several comedic situations that develop as the characters try to find solutions to their personal problems.

The first plotline features Mikoto Suou, a new transfer student who has a particular interest in Harima Kenji. She decides to follow him around the city and observe his behavior in order to create a manga strip based on his life. During her observations, she accidentally gets involved in a street fight when a gang of delinquents start harassing her. Harima, who happens to be nearby, steps in to protect her and ends up defeating the whole gang. Mikoto is smitten with his bravery and decides to make him the main character of her manga strip.

Meanwhile, Tenma and her friend Eri Sawachika are working part-time at a fast-food restaurant to earn some extra money. They encounter several mishaps while trying to serve customers, including a rude elderly woman who only wants to order fries and a large group of soccer players who create chaos in the restaurant when they start throwing food at each other. The situation escalates when Kenji shows up and starts eating other people's orders, leading to a confrontation with Eri.

Lastly, another character, Tsukamoto Yakumo, is trying to overcome her shyness and gain the courage to express her feelings to Harima. She enlists the help of her friend Hanai, who creates a fake love letter from her to Harima in order to give her a confidence boost. However, the plan backfires when Harima misinterprets the letter as written for him, leading to a misunderstanding between him and Yakumo.

The episode culminates with all the characters attending a neighborhood festival, where they encounter each other and their various problems slowly start to resolve.
