Harima has failed to confess his feelings for Tenma once again, and as he heads home from school feeling defeated, he finds himself caught up in an after-school battle royale. With his survival skills put to the test, Harima must fight against his classmates in order to make it out of the gymnasium alive.

Meanwhile, in another part of the school, Tenma finds herself struggling with her own feelings. Despite her crush on Karasuma, Tenma can't help but feel drawn to Harima, and she begins to wonder if she should give him a chance.

As the day comes to a close, Harima and Tenma both find themselves in the hospital, each with their own set of injuries. Stranded on the rooftop together, the two become unexpectedly close, and by the time they're discharged, they've shared a moment that will change their relationship forever.
