Harima and Tenma are among the students at the beach where they have gone for their school trip. Harima has managed to secure a part-time job as a lifeguard, and he's taking his job very seriously. However, he's not getting much attention from the students as they are more interested in their leisure activities. On the other hand, Tenma is having a hard time dealing with her crush on Karasuma.
Meanwhile, Yakumo is spending her time on the beach reading a book, and she's approached by Hanai. He's smitten with Yakumo and wants to spend time with her, but she's not interested. Later on, Harima tries to save Yakumo from a near drowning incident, but the encounter is anything but pleasant.
Elsewhere on the beach, Akira and her group of friends are having fun, and they spot Harima working as a lifeguard. They decide to play a game of dare with him, which leads to a hilarious sequence of events. In the meantime, Eri, Mikoto, and Tenma venture into the sea to collect shells, but they end up getting stranded on a sandbar.
As the tide rises, the girls start to panic, and they call out for help. Harima, who is on patrol duty, hears their cries and rushes to their rescue. However, as he reaches the girls, he finds himself in a compromising position, which leads to some comical moments. After the girls are rescued, they decide to play a prank on Harima, which leads to another round of hilarity.
Later on, a storm hits the beach, and all the students are advised to stay indoors. However, Harima decides to brave the elements and tries to rescue a stray puppy who is in danger. Despite his best efforts, Harima gets stuck in a storm drain and is unable to move. The students learn about his predicament and come to his rescue.
The episode ends with the students gathered around Harima, who is safe but embarrassed. Yakumo also makes a sweet gesture towards Harima, which goes unnoticed, much to her disappointment. Overall, the episode offers a mix of adventure, comedy, and romance, making it an enjoyable watch for fans of the show.
