Harima is in love with Tenma, but he has yet to reveal his feelings to her. On the other hand, Karasuma, who is Harima's classmate, seems to be the only one Tenma is interested in. Meanwhile, Nara, who is Tenma's sister, is back from America, much to Tenma's delight. However, Nara's resemblance to Tenma is strikingly similar, which causes Karasuma to think that Nara is actually Tenma in disguise.
The episode begins with Harima practicing his pottery skills in his school's ceramics club. However, he finds it difficult to concentrate as his thoughts keep drifting to Tenma. Meanwhile, Tenma is trying to organize a surprise welcome party for Nara and enlists the help of her classmates, including Harima. However, Harima is not interested in helping out as he wants to avoid being around Tenma since being around her only makes him more nervous.
Later that day, Harima is walking home from school when he sees Tenma and Karasuma in the distance. Harima quickly turns around and tries to make a run for it, but he ends up bumping into Nara, who mistakes him for a pervert. Nara is unfazed by Harima's awkwardness and takes an interest in him. Harima is surprised by Nara's nonchalant attitude towards him and wonders if it is because she is not aware of his feelings for her sister.
The following day, Tenma and her friends are busy preparing for Nara's welcome party. However, the party takes an unexpected turn when Karasuma arrives at the party dressed as a girl since he believes that Nara is actually Tenma in disguise. Harima uses this opportunity to get closer to Tenma and tries to talk to her, but he ends up getting caught up in a series of misunderstandings and mishaps.
As the party starts to wind down, Harima finds himself alone with Tenma in the school's courtyard. Harima seizes the opportunity to finally confess his feelings for Tenma, but before he can say anything, Nara interrupts them. Nara tells Harima that she knows he is in love with Tenma and that she has no intention of getting in the way of their relationship. Nara then kisses Harima on the cheek and thanks him for making her sister's high school experience a memorable one.
The episode ends with Harima reflecting on Nara's words and realizing that he must let go of his feelings for Tenma and focus on his own future. Meanwhile, Tenma is still trying to figure out why Karasuma dressed up as a girl and what his true feelings are towards her.
Overall, this episode of School Rumble is filled with comedic misunderstandings and awkward situations. It explores the themes of unrequited love, jealousy, and the importance of letting go.
