Wufflebump Owns Up is the eleventh episode of season one of School of Roars, a British animated television series aimed at pre-school children. The show follows the daily adventures of five friendly monsters as they attend school and learn valuable life lessons along the way.
In this episode, the students are given a class assignment to create a piece of artwork that represents something they're good at. Wufflebump, a furry purple monster, is excited to showcase his excellent skills at hide-and-seek. However, as the day progresses, Wufflebump realizes that he's accidentally left his artwork at home.
Feeling embarrassed and scared of admitting his mistake to his teacher and classmates, Wufflebump tries to come up with excuses to avoid the situation. He tries to find a way to recreate his artwork quickly, but nothing seems to work out, and his anxiety grows. His friends in class notice that he's acting differently and try to help him, but Wufflebump is too scared to accept their helping hands.
Later, during playtime, Wufflebump comes across a spaceship-themed climbing frame, and being the monster that loves to hide, he decides to explore its nooks and crannies. However, his curiosity gets the best of him, and he accidentally breaks a light on the spaceship bridge. Feeling guilty and worried, Wufflebump feels like he has caused too much trouble for one day and wanders outside to hide in the bushes.
But little did he know that his friends were looking for him, and they found him in the bushes. They comfort him and listen to his worries. Sensing that Wufflebump has an important lesson to learn, the teacher Miss Grizzlesniff takes them on a special adventure. They all board the spaceship climbing frame and embark on an imaginary journey to some new planets, where they learn about owning up to their mistakes.
After the imaginary journey, Wufflebump feels confident to admit his mistake and show his blank artwork to the class. He realizes that the honesty and bravery to admit to his mistakes pay off since the class sees his courage and his blank artwork with a purpose. He and Miss Grizzlesniff encourage the class to think that the blank artwork can represent possibilities, and he inspires his friends to create artworks that represent their chances to learn and grow.
Wufflebump learns that honesty and bravery are valuable qualities, and admitting his mistakes can lead to a better outcome. The episode ends with all the monsters enjoying their new artwork and appreciating Wufflebump's bravery and creativity. Wufflebump's honesty helps other monsters see that it's essential to face their fears and own up to their mistakes, and they have more opportunities to learn and grow.
