Johnny, Moira, David and Stevie are all trying to figure out how to get more guests into the motel after realizing that their occupancy rate is only at around 4%. While brainstorming ideas, Johnny stumbles upon a box of love letters from a past guest, and decides to use them to create a "Love Letter" themed event that he hopes will attract more customers.
Meanwhile, Alexis is struggling to adjust to her new job at the vet clinic, and her lack of experience with animals is causing some problems. When she accidentally gives a cat the wrong medication, she enlists Ted's help to fix the situation. The two of them work together to try and help the cat, and in the process, Alexis starts to realize that maybe she has more of a connection with animals than she thought.
David and Patrick are also dealing with some relationship issues, as they try to navigate their first major disagreement. David is feeling neglected and underappreciated, while Patrick is trying to balance his work responsibilities with his relationship. They both turn to Stevie for advice, and she encourages them to be honest with each other and communicate their feelings. Despite some initial tension, they eventually come to a resolution and reaffirm their commitment to each other.
As the Love Letter event gets underway, Johnny is thrilled to see the motel filling up with guests. However, things take a surprising turn when a former flame of Moira's shows up unexpectedly. While Moira tries to keep up appearances and act unsurprised, Johnny and Stevie are both amused by the situation. In the end, the "Love Letter" event is a success, and the motel is filled with happy guests once again.
Overall, this episode continues to showcase the various relationships and dynamics between the characters in Schitt's Creek. It also highlights some of the challenges they face as they try to build new lives in a town that is vastly different from their old ones. With its mix of humor, heart, and unexpected twists, the show continues to be a delight to watch and a fan favorite.
