Scaredy Squirrel is a Canadian animated TV series that revolves around the titular character of Scaredy Squirrel, who is a bit paranoid and afraid of everything. The show is based on a series of children's books by Mélanie Watt.
In season 4, episode 2, titled Adventures in Frogsitting / Straighten Up and Flu Right, Scaredy Squirrel finds himself in two different dilemmas.
In the first half of the episode, Adventures in Frogsitting, Scaredy is tasked with taking care of Mr. Ribbit, the pet frog of his coworker, Nestor. Nestor is going out of town for a few days, and Scaredy volunteers to take care of the frog in his absence. However, taking care of a frog proves to be a lot more challenging than he expected. Scaredy's fears prevent him from touching the frog, which leads to comic situations. Meanwhile, Mr. Ribbit proves to be a mischievous creature, and Scaredy has a hard time keeping him away from his beloved nut tree.
In the second half of the episode, Straighten Up and Flu Right, Scaredy Squirrel comes down with the flu, and his coworker Dave decides to lend a helping hand. Dave, who is a neat freak, decides to clean Scaredy's treehouse and inadvertently throws away some of Scaredy's prized possessions, including his nut collection. This leads to a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications between the two friends. Meanwhile, Scaredy is determined to get better as soon as possible, but his fears and phobias prevent him from taking the medicine he needs.
As the episode unfolds, Scaredy Squirrel learns some valuable life lessons about facing his fears, taking risks, and the true meaning of friendship. The adventures of Scaredy and his animal friends are sure to delight kids and adults alike and provide a healthy dose of laughter and fun.
