Scaredy Squirrel season 1 episode 10 is a double-feature episode titled "Coast is Fear / Madness of King Nutbar." The first half of the episode takes Scaredy Squirrel on a journey to overcome his fear of the coast. When plans to have a picnic at the park go awry, Scaredy Squirrel and his friend Dave end up at the beach. Scaredy Squirrel is terrified of the ocean, but Dave enjoys surfing and wants to show Scaredy Squirrel a good time. Despite his initial hesitations, Scaredy Squirrel must face his fears and venture into the ocean to rescue his friend Dave, who gets caught in a rip current. Scaredy Squirrel's bravery and newfound confidence in the water saves the day.
The second half of the episode, "Madness of King Nutbar," takes a more comedic turn. Scaredy Squirrel is excited to perform the lead role in the local play, "The Nutcracker." However, things take a turn for the worse when the director, King Nutbar, takes his role a little too seriously and goes mad with power. He starts making outrageous demands, throwing fits, and even replacing the play's original script with his own nonsensical version. Scaredy Squirrel and his friends must figure out a way to stop King Nutbar before he ruins the show entirely.
Throughout both segments of the episode, Scaredy Squirrel's trademark anxiety-prone personality is on full display. However, he learns valuable lessons about facing his fears and standing up for what's right. The episode is filled with zany humor and heartwarming moments that make it a standout installment in the series.
