As the third season of Saving Hope draws near its end, the tenth episode titled "Days of Heaven" provides an intense viewing experience for the fans of this medical drama series. The episode opens up with the usual soundtrack of "Bad Sun" by the band The Bravery, which sets the tone for the fast-paced events about to unfold in the coming minutes.

The storyline of "Days of Heaven" mainly revolves around Alex Reid (Erica Durance), a skilled surgeon and her husband, Dr. Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks), who's in a coma. At this point in the series, viewers are well aware that Charlie is no ordinary comatose patient. He's in a state of limbo, able to see and hear everything happening around him. With that in mind, Charlie is trying to come to terms with the idea that maybe he needs to move on from his current state and cross over to the afterlife.

However, things aren't so simple, and the situation becomes more complicated when a patient, Todd, who's been diagnosed with terminal cancer, is admitted to the hospital. He's under the care of Dr. Dana Kinney (Wendy Crewson), who's his oncologist. Meanwhile, Todd's wife, Cora, is struggling to come to terms with her husband's condition, leading her to make some irrational decisions.

As the episode progresses, viewers see Todd become increasingly agitated, and his pain levels rise as a result. Dana, along with her colleagues, including Alex, are working around the clock to manage his pain, but their efforts seem to be in vain. Todd's condition soon takes a turn for the worse, and he's declared brain dead. The situation becomes even more complicated when Dana tells Cora that Todd wanted to be an organ donor.

Cora is visibly upset and uncertain about what to do, but she agrees to abide by her husband's wishes. However, things take a turn for the worse when the hospital's organ procurement organization arrives to collect Todd's organs. They suspect that something isn't right as Todd's body temperature is higher than it should be.

Meanwhile, Dana, who also happens to be a licensed pilot, is asked to fly a small aircraft for the sake of bringing some organs to another hospital. The task is of utmost importance, but it's also risky and puts her in a lot of pressure. As the viewer watches Dana, they can find themselves holding their breath.

To make matters even more complicated, Charlie also has a new patient in the spirit world. A woman who died of internal bleeding needs Charlie's help, and he's torn between helping her and accepting his own fate.

In this episode of Saving Hope, viewers get to witness the emotional struggles of various characters. They explore issues of loss, coping mechanisms, and different ways people deal with life and death. The writers go to great lengths to ensure that the characters' opinions and thoughts are well-rounded and that everyone's perspectives are brought to light, thereby making it a thought-provoking episode, as well.

In summary, the tenth episode of the third season of Saving Hope, titled "Days of Heaven," is action-packed and emotional, showcasing the intricacies of life and death. The episode successfully manages to keep viewers on their toes, and they may even be left twisting in anticipation of the fate of their favorite characters.
