It's a classic case of mistaken identities in the latest episode of Saved by the Bell, "Day of Detention". Zack, Slater, and Screech are all given detention for different infractions, but they end up getting mixed up with a group of delinquent students who are also serving detention. Chaos ensues as the group attempts to prove their innocence and clear their names.
Meanwhile, Kelly, Lisa, and Jessie are tasked with planning the school's annual "King and Queen of the Carnival" event. However, their plans are derailed when they discover that the carnival's sponsor has pulled out, leaving them with a limited budget. As the day goes on, tensions rise in detention as the students begin to clash and argue with each other. Zack, Slater, and Screech find themselves in the middle of the chaos and must work together to calm everyone down. In the end, they are able to prove their innocence and are released from detention.
As the carnival begins, Kelly, Lisa, and Jessie are able to pull off a successful event despite their limited resources. The "King and Queen" winners are crowned and the school comes together to celebrate.
