In Saved by the Bell season 4 episode 3, entitled "The Aftermath," the gang at Bayside High deal with the aftermath of a school-wide fire. The fire, caused by a science experiment gone wrong, destroyed the school's trophy case, leaving the students without the physical items that represented all of the school's past achievements.
As the episode opens, Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and the gang mourn the loss of the trophy case and all the memories that went with it. The school's principal, Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins), enlists Zack and his friends to come up with a plan to replace the trophies before an upcoming school board meeting.
Meanwhile, Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen) is dealing with her own aftermath after the fire. Her locker was destroyed in the blaze, taking with it all of her personal possessions. Kelly is devastated by the loss and struggles to move on without the items that were most important to her.
In the midst of all this turmoil, Slater (Mario Lopez) is dealing with his own aftermath as well. The fire was caused by a science experiment that he had been working on, and he feels responsible for the damage done to the school and his classmates.
As the episode progresses, the gang works to come up with a plan to replace the trophies before the school board meeting. They launch a fundraising campaign, including a car wash and a charity auction, and work tirelessly to gather the funds necessary to replace the missing trophies.
Kelly, meanwhile, struggles to come to terms with the loss of her personal possessions. She feels like she has lost a part of herself and doesn't know how to move forward without her cherished items. However, with the help of her friends, Kelly slowly begins to rebuild her life and find meaning in other things.
Finally, after a lot of hard work and dedication, the gang is able to replace all of the missing trophies just in time for the school board meeting. They present the trophies to Mr. Belding and the board, and everyone is thrilled with the results.
In the end, the gang learns that sometimes it's not the physical items that matter, but the memories and experiences that they represent. They also learn the value of hard work, perseverance, and the power of friendship in overcoming adversity.
