In Saved by the Bell season 2 episode 5, "Screech's Woman," viewers are introduced to Screech's new girlfriend, Alison. Screech is over the moon about their relationship and can't wait to introduce her to his friends. However, when Alison arrives at Bayside High, the gang is less than impressed. Alison is not the typical high school student; she's actually a college student and she's also considerably older than Screech.
As the gang starts to get to know Alison more, they become increasingly worried about her intentions with Screech. They believe that she might be taking advantage of him. The gang tries to warn Screech about Alison, but he doesn't want to listen. He's completely smitten with her and he believes that they truly love each other.
Despite their concerns, the gang decides to give Alison a chance and invite her to hang out with them after school. As they spend more time together, Alison proves to be a great addition to the group. She's smart, funny, and caring. She seems to genuinely care for Screech and wants what's best for him.
However, when Alison starts to get a little too involved in Screech's life, the gang begins to worry again. They feel like Alison is trying to control him and they don't want to see their friend get hurt. As they try to figure out what to do, Screech starts to notice that something is off too. He starts to see that Alison might not have his best interests at heart.
As the episode progresses, the gang and Screech are forced to confront Alison about their concerns. She becomes defensive and tries to convince Screech that the gang is just trying to break them up. However, Screech realizes that his friends are right and that Alison is not the person he thought she was.
In the end, Screech breaks up with Alison and the gang is relieved. They feel like they were able to protect their friend from getting hurt. Screech is devastated at first, but he realizes that he deserves someone who truly loves and respects him. The episode ends with the gang comforting Screech and telling him that they will always be there for him.
Overall, "Screech's Woman" is a powerful episode that deals with issues of age, power, and control in relationships. It's a great reminder to be aware of the people we allow into our lives and to listen to the concerns of our friends. The episode is also a great showcase for Dustin Diamond's acting skills. He does an incredible job portraying Screech's range of emotions throughout the episode.
