Jon Hamm, the dashing star of AMC's "Mad Men," returns to "Saturday Night Live" for his second hosting gig. Hamm has had plenty of comedic experience on "SNL," including his Emmy-nominated turn as Don Draper in a "Jon Hamm's John Ham" skit during his first hosting stint. Hamm is the type of host who walks that fine line between smooth and silly, and he's always game for any wacky sketch the "SNL" writers throw his way.

Joining Hamm on the show is the Grammy-winning crooner Michael Buble, who's known for his smooth, romantic voice and classic songs. Buble has also dabbled in acting over the years, including a recurring role on the Australian melodrama "The Bold and the Beautiful" and a cameo in the Will Ferrell comedy "Elf." Buble will be performing some of his biggest hits on "SNL," and he may even pop up in a sketch or two.

As always, the "SNL" cast is ready to tackle the latest news and pop culture events in their trademark irreverent style. Expect plenty of jokes about the 2010 Winter Olympics, which were taking place in Vancouver at the time, as well as satirical takes on politics, celebrity scandals, and current events.

One sketch that's sure to get laughs is "Jon Hamm's John Ham 2: Ham to Ham Combat," a follow-up to Hamm's previous "Mad Men" spoof in which his character pitches a ham-themed ad campaign. In the sequel, Hamm plays a different character who's still obsessed with ham, and he'll face off against another man who thinks he's the ultimate ham lover. It's a classic "SNL" premise that allows the cast to embrace their silliest instincts.

Another sketch that's generating buzz is "Scott Brown: Shirtless," a parody of the Massachusetts senator's infamous campaign ad in which he showed off his buff bod. "SNL" cast member Fred Armisen plays Brown, who can't resist taking his shirt off at the slightest provocation. When a Senate intern spills coffee on him, he uses it as an excuse to strip down to his skivvies and show off his ripped abs. But things take a turn when President Obama (played by Fred Armisen's "SNL" co-star, Jason Sudeikis) comes to town and takes off his shirt too, sending Brown into a fit of jealousy.

Of course, "SNL" wouldn't be complete without the iconic Weekend Update segment, in which anchors Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler skewer the latest headlines. This week, they'll no doubt have plenty to say about the aforementioned Olympics, as well as the ongoing saga of Tiger Woods and his various mistresses. They may also take a swipe at Sarah Palin, who was a popular target for "SNL" during the 2008 presidential campaign.

Overall, this promises to be a strong episode of "SNL" with a talented host, a charming musical guest, and a seasoned cast of comedians ready to make us laugh. From Jon Hamm's impeccable timing to Michael Buble's smooth vocals, this show has all the elements for a great night of entertainment. Tune in on Saturday to see what surprises "SNL" has in store.
