Kevin Spacey hosts "Saturday Night Live" for his first time in over 10 years. From his opening monologue in which he addresses the recent controversy surrounding his personal life to his various sketches, Spacey proves to be a versatile and hilarious host. In one sketch, he plays an eccentric director attempting to make a horror movie with a group of inept actors. In another, he spoofs "The Apprentice" by playing a terrible boss who constantly berates and demeans his employees.
Musical guest Nelly Furtado takes the stage to perform her hit songs "Maneater" and "Promiscuous." In her first performance, she delivers a high-energy rendition of "Maneater" complete with backup dancers and a fiery red outfit. For her second performance, she teams up with Timbaland to perform their hit "Promiscuous," which brings the house down.
The episode also features a number of memorable sketches. One standout is a parody of the popular Discovery Channel show "Mythbusters." In the sketch, the hosts attempt to prove or disprove various silly myths such as whether or not a banana peel can actually make someone slip. Another memorable sketch features Spacey as a disgruntled employee who storms out of his office and proceeds to wreak havoc on the streets of New York City.
Other sketches include a commercial parody for a pill that makes you feel drunk without actually drinking, a game show in which contestants must guess the meaning of obscure slang terms, and a fake trailer for a romantic comedy starring Spacey as a man who falls in love with his robot assistant.
Overall, the Kevin Spacey/Nelly Furtado episode of "Saturday Night Live" is a must-watch for fans of the show and comedy in general. Spacey proves to be a skilled comic actor, delivering hilarious performances in both his monologue and various sketches. Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado brings her trademark energy and talent to both of her performances. If you're looking for a good laugh, this episode is sure to deliver.
