Kelsey Grammer, best known for his role in the hit television sitcom Frasier, hosts this episode of Saturday Night Live alongside country music star Dwight Yoakam.

The show kicks off with a parody of CNN's Crossfire, featuring Phil Hartman as conservative commentator Pat Buchanan and Mike Myers as liberal guest Jesse Jackson. The skit quickly descends into chaos as the two guests begin exchanging insults and physical blows.

Next up is a commercial parody for a fictional product called "Schmitt's Gay," which features Chris Farley enthusiastically singing the product's jingle and grabbing the crotch of every man he encounters.

One of the standout sketches of the night features Kelsey Grammer as a Scrooge-like CEO who refuses to give his employees a Christmas bonus. He is visited by three ghosts (played by the legendary Jan Hooks, the versatile Chris Elliot, and newcomer Adam Sandler), who try to convince him to change his ways. Grammer's performance is particularly strong here, as he alternates between cruelty and vulnerability.

Another highlight is a musical performance by Dwight Yoakam, who performs his hit song "Ain't That Lonely Yet" and displays his impressive guitar skills.

The episode also features a recurring sketch called "Choppin' Broccoli," which features Dana Carvey as a wacky musician singing an intentionally nonsensical song. This skit has become a fan favorite and is often cited as one of the show's most memorable moments.

Even in its nineteenth season, Saturday Night Live continues to push boundaries and challenge audiences with its irreverent humor and cutting-edge satire. With Kelsey Grammer and Dwight Yoakam leading the charge, this episode delivers big laughs and plenty of surprises.
