Ep 13. Misguided Miscreants, Part 1

Mugen, Jin, and Fuu arrive in the town of Ikegami, which has been taken over by a gang of thieves known as the Hand of God. The trio ends up in the middle of a robbery, but they are mistaken for the robbers and are arrested by the town's corrupt police force. The police force is in cahoots with the Hand of God, and they plan on framing Mugen, Jin, and Fuu for the theft. Mugen and Jin are thrown into jail, while Fuu is forced to work in a brothel. Mugen and Jin meet an old monk named Taizan, who has the ability to read people's minds and predict the future. Taizan tells them that they are not the thieves, and that they must escape if they want to clear their names. Meanwhile, Fuu meets a girl named Shino, who is also working in the brothel. Shino is the daughter of the town's former leader, and she wants to help the trio escape. Together, they hatch a plan to free Mugen and Jin from jail. However, their plan goes awry, and Mugen and Jin end up in a fight with the Hand of God. The episode ends with the Hand of God gaining the upper hand, leaving Mugen and Jin in a precarious position.
