Samantha Who? is a comedic television series that follows the life of Samantha Newly, a talented advertising executive who suffers from retrograde amnesia. Season 2 episode 1, titled "So I Think I Can Dance," sees Samantha attempting to let loose after a serious bout of stress.

In this episode, Samantha is feeling the strain of her job and her personal life. Despite the fact that she has made significant progress in rebuilding her life since her amnesia, Samantha is still trying to figure out how to balance everything. Her best friend, Andrea, suggests that she get out of her own head and try something new - like dance lessons. Samantha is at first hesitant, but she ultimately decides to go for it.

Samantha's dance instructor, Sam, is teaching a group of beginners, including Samantha and her friend, Andrea. Sam is young, handsome, and charming, and Samantha finds herself instantly attracted to him. However, Samantha soon realizes that she has a problem - she cannot dance. Sam tries to teach her, but it quickly becomes clear that Samantha has no rhythm and two left feet.

Meanwhile, Samantha's ex-boyfriend, Todd, is licking his wounds after getting dumped by his girlfriend. He decides to try dance lessons as well, and much to Samantha's annoyance, he turns out to be a natural. Todd is cocksure and overly confident, but at the same time, he's charming and funny. Despite Samantha's initial discomfort, she slowly begins to enjoy herself.

As the weeks go on, Samantha becomes more and more invested in the dance classes. She starts practicing at home and watching YouTube videos to improve her skills. She even starts to develop a friendship with Sam, her instructor. However, as her feelings for Sam develop, Samantha begins to wonder if she's making a mistake.

Throughout the episode, Samantha's friends quip and tease her as they see her trying to dance at the studio. Her friend Dena is both amused and proud of Samantha, as she herself used to be a professional ballroom dancer before coming out as a lesbian. Dena's girlfriend, however, is less impressed, and she tries to get Dena to stop hanging out with Samantha so much. Despite this, Samantha remains determined to master the art of dance.

The episode culminates in a big dance competition for Samantha's dance class, and everyone is excited to participate. Samantha has been practicing her steps for weeks, and she feels confident that she will impress everyone. However, when the big day arrives, Samantha is faced with unexpected challenges. Todd is up to his old tricks, trying to sabotage Samantha's performance, and Sam is acting strange and distant.

The dance competition proves to be a revelation for Samantha, as it gives her an opportunity to truly let loose and enjoy herself. She dances with passion and emotion, and for a moment, everything around her melts away. When the judges announce the winner of the competition, Samantha is shocked to hear her name. She can't believe that she actually won, but she also realizes that this isn't the most important thing. What's more important is how much she enjoyed herself and how far she's come since her amnesia.

Overall, season 2 episode 1 of Samantha Who? is a lighthearted and fun episode that showcases the show's strengths in comedy and character development. While Samantha's love life takes a backseat in this episode, it's clear that she's still learning how to navigate the ups and downs of adult life. Whether she's dealing with work stress or trying to find love, Samantha remains a relatable and endearing character that audiences will root for.
