Samantha Brown's Great Weekends season 1 episode 12 takes viewers on a unique adventure to a Dude Ranch in Wyoming. As Samantha ventures out to the western state, she is excited to experience the true west, from horseback riding to square dancing.
Samantha's first stop is the Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa in Dubois, Wyoming. The stunning lodge sits at the base of 12,000-foot peaks, and Samantha can't wait to explore the area. She is greeted by the lodge's owner, who takes her on a tour of the property and shows her the luxurious accommodations and amenities they have to offer. Samantha's next adventure takes her to the Double Rafter Cattle Drives, a working cattle ranch in Northern Wyoming. Here, she joins a group of cowboys for a cattle drive, where they will be herding over 700 head of cattle across 30 miles of open range. Samantha is excited for the challenge and the opportunity to experience what it's like to be a cowboy. As the day winds down, Samantha heads back to Brooks Lake Lodge, where she enjoys a relaxing massage at the lodge's spa. The peaceful surroundings and the attentive staff help her unwind after a long day on the ranch.
The next day, Samantha heads to the T Cross Ranch, a century-old ranch that is now a popular vacation spot. She meets the owners and takes a tour of the property, taking in the stunning views and learning about the history of the ranch. Samantha also takes part in a horseback riding excursion through the rugged, mountainous terrain, where she is able to see the natural beauty of the area up close.
Samantha's final stop on her Wyoming adventure takes her to the town of Jackson, where she experiences the authentic western culture of the area. She visits the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, where she tries her hand at bull riding and learns about the rich history of the saloon. Samantha also takes part in some traditional western activities, like square dancing and a chuckwagon dinner.
