In Salvage Dawgs season 7 episode 6, titled "Return to Ludwig Mansion," the team ventures back to the historic Ludwig Mansion in South Carolina to salvage more unique pieces before the mansion gets demolished. The mansion was built in the 1890s and has been vacant for years, resulting in the deterioration of many of its features. However, the team is still able to collect a variety of interesting items, including a set of large, ornate doors, a sprawling banister, and several original light fixtures.

The episode begins with the team discussing the project over breakfast. They review some of the information they have on the mansion, including photos of some of the pieces they previously salvaged, such as a stained glass window, an oak mantle, and a red marble bathroom sink. Mike Whiteside, the team leader, explains that they have the opportunity to salvage more items that have been untouched since their last visit, including a large staircase. He also expresses his sadness that such a beautiful mansion is being demolished due to its state of disrepair.

After breakfast, the team heads to the mansion, where they meet with the demolition contractor. They review the areas that they are allowed to enter, and the team is excited to see that there are still many pieces left to salvage. They start by securing the staircase, which is located in the entryway. The staircase is large and beautiful, with a stunning banister that the team carefully removes. They also snag a set of large, ornate doors that were located nearby.

Next, the team splits up to explore different areas of the mansion. Tay Whiteside, Mike's daughter and a team member, discovers a unique light fixture in a room on the second floor. The fixture is shaped like a star and has a sleek, modern design that looks out of place in the old mansion. However, the team is happy to add it to their collection.

Meanwhile, Mike and his son Grayson are exploring the basement and find a door that has been locked for years. Mike is excited to see what's behind the door, and they eventually manage to open it. Inside, they find a room filled with old shelves and cabinets. The team is thrilled to discover a collection of antique bottles, including a few that are still tightly corked. Mike speculates that the bottles may have belonged to the original owners of the mansion.

As the day goes on, the team continues to salvage more pieces from the mansion. They collect several light fixtures, including one that Grayson finds hidden behind a wall. They also remove some decorative trim and an old sink from a bathroom. Finally, they salvage a large mirror that had been mounted above a fireplace in the mansion's library. The fireplace itself is too heavy to move, but the mirror will make a beautiful addition to the team's collection.

Throughout the episode, the Salvage Dawgs reflect on the history of the mansion and the unique pieces they have salvaged. They express their appreciation for the opportunity to preserve a small piece of the past and prevent it from being lost forever. The team is proud of the work they have done and the beauty they have managed to salvage from the old mansion before it is torn down.
