Ep 7. The Mark of the Beast

In season 5 episode 7 of Saints & Sinners titled "The Mark of the Beast," tension continues to mount in Cypress, Georgia as the investigation into the recent murders begins to unravel secrets about the town's residents.

Pastor Johnson continues to be a thorn in Rex's side, refusing to back down from his criticism of Rex's leadership and even going so far as to publish an op-ed in the local newspaper calling for a full investigation into the police department's handling of the case. Meanwhile, Mayor Ella continues to play both sides, trying to keep the peace between Rex and the rest of the town while also jockeying for position in her own political career.

As the investigation heats up, new suspects emerge and old alliances are tested. Lady Byrd finds herself caught in the crosshairs when evidence begins to point towards her involvement in the murders, while the rest of the family is forced to confront the darker aspects of their own pasts.

Elsewhere in Cypress, Christie makes a shocking discovery about Levi's true identity, throwing their relationship into turmoil. Meanwhile, Jabari's obsession with uncovering the truth about the murders begins to take a toll on his mental health, leading him down a dangerous path.

As tensions come to a head, the town of Cypress is rocked by a stunning revelation that threatens to tear apart the fragile peace that Rex has worked so hard to maintain. With alliances shifting and secrets coming to light, it's anyone's guess who will come out on top in the fight for control of Cypress.
