While her friends are happy for her, they can't help but feel a little sad about her moving away. Ami on the other hand, is grappling with other emotions - this change means she will have to bid goodbye to her friends, leave her life in Tokyo behind and begin anew.
As the days pass, Ami becomes reclusive and distant. She hasn't told her friends about her plans, but they can sense something is amiss. When they confront her, she breaks down and confesses her fears - she is scared of losing her friends, starting anew in a strange land where she knows no one and wonders if she's even cut out for it. Her friends reassure her and tell her that true friendship continues even if they don't live in the same city - they will always be there for her, no matter the distance.
Meanwhile, the Dark Kingdom is still active and is causing trouble. The Sailor Scouts are called into action and track down one of the Dark Kingdom's minions, a monster. Despite the monster's formidable strength, the Sailor Scouts are able to defeat it. However, the Dark Kingdom is relentless and doesn't give up easily. They send more monsters to attack Tokyo. This puts a strain on Ami who is torn between fighting alongside her friends and preparing for her move.
As the day of her departure draws closer, Ami starts to feel more and more anxious. She visits her mother's grave and confides in her about her dreams, her fears and her hopes. Touched by her mother's words, Ami begins to feel more positive about her move and decides to give it her all.
On the night before she leaves, her friends throw her a goodbye party. Ami is touched by their gifts, their words of encouragement and their love. As the party draws to a close, Ami finds herself overcome with emotion and tearfully thanks her friends for their unwavering support. She promises to come back and visit them and declares that she will always cherish their friendship.
The episode ends with Ami boarding the plane and waving goodbye to her friends. As the plane takes off, she looks out the window and sees a beautiful blue bird flying alongside her.
