Ep 38. Fractious Friends

As the Sailor Scouts continue their search for the remaining Rainbow Crystals, they come across a group of teens causing chaos in the city. The teens, known as the "JK" gang, are causing trouble and stealing items from stores. Usagi and Naru recognize one of the JK members as their classmate, Rui, and attempt to talk to her about her behavior.

In the meantime, the Dark Kingdom is also after the Rainbow Crystals and sends Nephrite to retrieve the one held by the JK gang. He uses his powers to control Rui and convince her to steal the crystal for him.

Usagi and her friends intervene and a fight breaks out between the Sailor Scouts and Nephrite. During the chaos, Rui is injured and taken to the hospital. Usagi and Naru visit her and learn about Rui's difficult family situation and the pressure she feels to fit in with the JK gang.

As the night goes on, Nephrite continues his search for the Rainbow Crystal and eventually confronts Usagi and her friends. With Rui's help, the Sailor Scouts are able to defeat Nephrite and reclaim the Rainbow Crystal.

The episode ends with Usagi reflecting on the challenges of growing up and learning to navigate difficult friendships while also protecting their city as the Sailor Scouts.
