Usagi's grandfather comes to visit her family's home and tells them he has a disturbing dream that involves Usagi turning evil. Meanwhile, Queen Beryl tells Jadeite to focus his energy on locating the Imperium Silver Crystal instead of fighting the Sailor Soldiers. Jadeite decides to create a Controlling Machine to put humans under his control to aid in his search for the crystal. As the Sailor Soldiers patrol the streets, they spot humans acting out of character in the streets, leading them to Jadeite's Controlling Machine, which transforms into a giant robot. Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars try to defeat the robot, but they are outmatched. Sailor Jupiter arrives to assist, but the robot blasts her with energy before taking control of her. In her hypnotic state, Sailor Jupiter attacks Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars, leaving Sailor Moon with no other option but to use her Moon Tiara Action attack to momentarily stun Sailor Jupiter, giving them an opportunity to escape. Reaching a rooftop, the Sailor Soldiers discuss a plan to rescue Sailor Jupiter and destroy the machine. Meanwhile, Sailor Jupiter struggles with her own mind, trying to break through the hypnosis. Usagi's grandfather, who had been watching the battle from afar, arrives and gives advice for Usagi to reach out to Sailor Jupiter emotionally, which helps the other Sailor Soldiers to penetrate the machine's control. Reunited, the Sailor Soldiers enter the Controlling Machine, where they face Jadeite himself. Sailor Moon uses her Moon Tiara Action to break his staff, causing him to flee. As the Sailor Soldiers escape, the robot explodes, and Sailor Moon catchers Sailor Jupiter as she falls. Back at home, Usagi's grandfather reveals he had another dream in which Usagi saved the world, and Usagi, feeling grateful for his support, gives him a crystal to protect him.
