Makoto Kino, a transfer student, joins the Sailor Team just in time to face their next enemy. While adjusting to her new school, Makoto catches the attention of the villainous Jadeite, who attempts to drain her energy. But with her newfound powers as Sailor Jupiter, Makoto fights back and uses her electrifying attacks to protect herself and her friends.

Meanwhile, Usagi struggles with her role as leader of the team and worries about the safety of her loved ones. When she confronts Makoto about her past, she learns about the tragic events that led to Makoto's isolation and the emotional walls she had put up.
