Waiting For Tomorrow is the fourth episode of Tyler Perry's Ruthless season 1. The show follows Ruth Truesdale, a woman who is in a cult called The Rakudushi, as she tries to escape its clutches and reunite with her daughter.
In this episode, Ruth is still living in a motel with Terry, the man who helped her escape from The Rakudushi. She is worried about her daughter, Tally, who is still living with The Rakudushi and is being held captive. Ruth knows that she needs to find a way to get Tally out, but she is scared to try because she knows how dangerous The Rakudushi can be.
Meanwhile, Andrew, the leader of The Rakudushi, is becoming more and more obsessed with Ruth. He sends one of his followers, Dikhan, to spy on her and report back to him about her whereabouts and activities. Dikhan is a scary figure, and his presence only adds to Ruth's anxiety.
Ruth decides to try to get in touch with Tally by calling the cult's headquarters and pretending to be interested in joining. She is able to speak to Tally, but their conversation is brief and guarded. Tally is clearly scared and doesn't want to say too much over the phone.
Back at The Rakudushi headquarters, we see more of the inner workings of the cult. A new member, Yancy, has just joined and is being initiated into the group. The ceremony involves him renouncing his past life and accepting The Rakudushi as his new family. It's a chilling scene, and we are reminded how deeply entrenched the cult's hold on its members is.
As the episode progresses, tensions continue to rise. Ruth is worried about Tally and decides to take matters into her own hands. She contacts Terry's sister, who is a lawyer, and asks her for help in getting Tally out of The Rakudushi's custody. It's a risky move, and Ruth knows that it could have dangerous consequences, but she feels like she has no choice.
Meanwhile, Andrew is becoming increasingly unhinged. He is fixated on Ruth and sees her as a threat to the cult's stability. He holds a meeting with the other leaders of The Rakudushi and urges them to take action against her. He is worried that Ruth's presence could lead to more members leaving the group or even staging a rebellion.
The tension comes to a head in the final scenes of the episode. Ruth and Terry go to the cult's headquarters to try to get Tally out. They are met with resistance from Dikhan and the other members but are eventually able to get Tally and make a run for it. The escape is intense and dramatic, with the music and camera work heightening the suspense.
Overall, Waiting For Tomorrow is a gripping episode of Tyler Perry's Ruthless. It's full of tension and conflict, with plenty of twists and turns to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. We see more of the inner workings of The Rakudushi and get a better understanding of just how dangerous and insidious the cult can be. Will Ruth and Tally be able to make it to safety, or will Andrew and his followers catch up with them? Only time will tell.
