Ep 3. The Naked Truth

In Rust Valley Restorers season 4 episode 3, titled The Naked Truth, Mike and his team are faced with an unusual challenge when they receive a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger that has been stripped down to its bare-metal body. The owner, an artist, wants them to create a unique custom paint job for the car using her own artwork.

Mike and the team are excited to take on the challenge, but they know that creating a custom paint job requires a lot of skill and patience. They first have to sand down the body and fix any dents or imperfections. Then they have to prime the car with a base coat and start painting the complex design.

Meanwhile, Avery is tasked with bringing a 1965 VW Beetle back to life. The car has been sitting in a field for over a decade and is in rough shape. Avery has to replace almost every part and repair any rust damage before he can even think about getting the car running again.

As Avery works on the Beetle, Mike decides to take a trip to a nearby town to check out a classic car auction. He comes across a beautiful 1969 Camaro SS that he just has to have, but he knows that he has to win the auction first. He gets into a heated bidding war with another collector, but in the end, he comes out on top and brings the Camaro back to Rust Valley.

Back at the shop, the team is making progress on the Dodge Dart, but they run into a problem when they realize that they don't have enough paint to finish the job. Mike decides to call his friend Dave, who owns a body shop in town, to see if he has any extra paint that they could use. Dave agrees to help them out, but in return, he wants Mike to give his wife's car a full detail.

With the paint problem solved, the team is able to finish the Dodge Dart and reveal the custom paint job to the owner. She is thrilled with the result and says that it is exactly what she had envisioned.

In the final moments of the episode, Avery finishes the Beetle and is able to get it running again. The owner comes to pick it up and is overjoyed to see her old car restored to its former glory. Meanwhile, Mike takes his new Camaro out for a spin and can't help but feel proud of all the hard work that he and his team have put into restoring these classic cars.
