In Rurouni Kenshin season 2 episode 11, titled "Sanosuke's Secret Training: The Challenge of Anji the Destroyer," the focus shifts to Sanosuke Sagara, one of the main characters of the series who serves as Kenshin's ally and comrade in arms. The episode opens with Sanosuke training alone in the mountains, away from Kenshin and the others. He is seeking to improve his strength and fighting abilities, and believes that only through rigorous training can he be of more use to his friends.

Sanosuke's training regimen is brutal and unforgiving, as he fights against trees, boulders, and other natural obstacles with his bare fists. He wants to toughen his body and hone his reflexes, hoping to become a better warrior and protector. However, he soon realizes that his training might not be enough to face a formidable opponent like Anji Yukyuzan, also known as "The Destroyer."

Anji is a former member of the Shinsengumi, a powerful group of elite warriors that were once loyal to the Meiji government. However, Anji became disillusioned with the government's corruption and hypocrisy, and left the Shinsengumi to become a wandering monk. He believes in the power of nonviolence and compassion, and seeks to enlighten others through his teachings.

Sanosuke is intrigued by Anji's philosophy, but is also wary of his strength and fighting skills. Anji is known for his unique fighting style, called "The Divine Fist," which involves using his bare hands to strike pressure points in his opponent's body. This can cause immense pain, paralysis, or even death, depending on the skill of the user.

Sanosuke realizes that he needs to learn how to defend against such attacks, and seeks out Anji to challenge him to a fight. Anji agrees, but warns Sanosuke that violence is not the answer to their problems. Sanosuke insists that he only wants to test his skills, and that he means no harm to Anji or anyone else.

The two warriors face off in a secluded valley, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush vegetation. Sanosuke charges at Anji with all his might, but quickly learns that his punches and kicks are ineffective against Anji's mastery of pressure points. Anji dodges Sanosuke's attacks with ease, using his superior speed and agility to stay one step ahead.

However, Sanosuke refuses to give up, and tries to come up with a new strategy. He remembers a lesson that Kenshin once taught him, about using his body weight and momentum to generate more power in his strikes. Sanosuke decides to try this tactic, and charges at Anji again, but this time with a different approach.

Sanosuke leaps into the air and comes down with a powerful double-fisted strike, aiming for Anji's head. Anji is caught off guard, but quickly recovers, and counters with a sharp palm thrust to Sanosuke's chest. Sanosuke stumbles backwards, gasping for air, but manages to stand back up and keep fighting.

The battle between Sanosuke and Anji continues, with both warriors pushing themselves to their limits. Sanosuke tries to anticipate Anji's movements, while Anji tries to read Sanosuke's intentions. The fight is intense, but also respectful, as both warriors acknowledge each other's strength and determination.

In the end, only one warrior emerges victorious, but both Sanosuke and Anji have gained a newfound respect for each other. Sanosuke realizes that there is more to fighting than just brute force, and that he needs to learn how to be more subtle and strategic in his approach. Anji realizes that violence can be necessary at times, but that it should never be used as a first resort.

Overall, Rurouni Kenshin season 2 episode 11 is a gripping and action-packed episode that showcases the depth and complexity of the show's characters. Sanosuke's growth and development as a warrior are highlighted, as he faces one of his toughest challenges yet. Anji's philosophy and fighting style add a new dimension to the show, and provide an interesting contrast to Kenshin's ideals.
