Ep 4. Dad's Visit

Russell finds himself in quite a challenge, when his father Alex comes to visit. The older man has always been very critical of Russell, and it's no different this time around. Alex constantly jokes about Russell's lifestyle, belittles everything he says and does, and makes fun of his successful brother - whom he regards as the only worthwhile offspring he has. As a result, Russell tries to avoid him as much as possible. Meanwhile, Jeff and Audrey try to come up with ways to make their apartment more baby-proof. They know their friends will probably judge them for being such stereotypical new parents, but they can't help worrying. In the end, they decide to hire a professional to help them.

Timmy is also having some family-related problems. He's feeling guilty because he hasn't seen his father in over a year, even though they live relatively close to each other. He confides in Adam, who suggests he make plans to visit his dad. Reluctantly, Timmy agrees. However, when he arrives at his father's house, he discovers that his dad has gone to Florida for the winter. Feeling foolish, he decides to go back home and forget the whole thing. That is, until he gets a call from his Dad, who invites him to come down to Florida and spend some time with him. Feeling excited, Timmy tries to plan the perfect trip. However, when he gets there, he discovers that his father's new girlfriend doesn't exactly approve of him. Will he be able to overcome his anger and jealousy, and enjoy his time with his father? You'll have to watch to find out.

Back at Jeff and Audrey's apartment, things are starting to get a little tense. They've hired a designer to help them create the perfect baby-proof home, but she seems to be more interested in making them buy expensive items they don't really need. They're trying to be polite, but they're about ready to send her packing. Meanwhile, Russell and his father get into a heated argument about their respective lifestyles. It seems like they'll never be able to see eye to eye. However, when Russell's father has a health scare, the two of them are forced to put aside their differences and come together. It's a heartwarming moment that reminds us that family is always worth fighting for.

All in all, 'Dad's Visit' is a classic episode of Rules Of Engagement. It's got plenty of laughs, some heartwarming moments, and plenty of character development. Whether you're a long-time fan of the show or a newcomer to the series, you're sure to enjoy this episode, which is a standout in the show's third season.
