In "Mommy's Little Assets," Angelica convinces the babies to start a business by selling cookies. After Chas makes a large order, Angelica takes the money for herself and the babies are left scrambling to fulfill the order. Meanwhile, Chas becomes increasingly worried about his finances after a confrontation with his ex-wife.

In "Chuckie's Wonderful Life," Chuckie is feeling down about his life and wishes he had been born into a different family. He falls asleep and wakes up in a kind of dreamworld where he gets to experience life with different families, including one where he is the only child and one where he has six older brothers. Ultimately, Chuckie realizes that no matter what family he is in, his friends and his dad will always be his true home.

Throughout the episode, there are several references to the classic film "It's a Wonderful Life," and Chuckie's experiences in the dreamworld closely parallel the story of George Bailey in the movie. The episode also deals with themes of self-acceptance and learning to appreciate the good things in one's life.
