In the Rugrats Season 2 Episode 19 entitled "Down the Drain/Let Them Eat Cake", the babies find themselves in two completely different predicaments out in the backyard.
In the first part of the episode, "Down the Drain", Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil are playing in the backyard when they find a penny. Chuckie decides to throw the penny down the drain, and when all of the babies gather around to look, they find themselves accidentally locked out of the house.
After realizing that they are locked out, the babies try to come up with a plan to get back inside. Tommy's first instinct is to call Grandpa for help, but they are unable to reach him. They then try to get help from the neighbor, but their plan falls apart when Phil and Lil get distracted by a butterfly.
As the day goes on and the babies start to get hungry and tired, they begin to lose hope of ever getting back inside. However, Chuckie comes up with a last-ditch effort to get help by using a toy phone to "call" Grandpa on a pretend phone line. Much to the babies' surprise, Grandpa actually answers and comes to their rescue just in time.
In the second part of the episode, "Let Them Eat Cake", the babies attend a birthday party for Angelica's friend, Harold. However, despite the party being for Harold, Angelica is the one who seems to be in charge.
After noticing how much cake Angelica is eating, the babies decide to take matters into their own hands and try to get a piece of cake for themselves. However, each of their attempts is thwarted by Angelica, who seems to be determined to keep all of the cake for herself.
In the end, the babies are able to outsmart Angelica and get their own pieces of cake. However, Angelica still manages to get the last laugh when she reveals that the cake was actually a dummy cake and the real one was inside all along.
Overall, "Down the Drain/Let Them Eat Cake" is a classic episode of Rugrats that showcases the babies' resourcefulness and determination in the face of difficult circumstances. Despite being locked out of the house and unable to get a piece of cake, the babies never give up and continue to work together to achieve their goals.
