We Don't See Much of That in 1940s America is the eighth episode of the ninth season of the satirical stop-motion animated series, Robot Chicken. The show, created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, offers a unique twist on pop culture references and parodies through its use of toy figurines and puppetry.

In this episode, the Robot Chicken writers take a stab at different eras and themes in American history, ranging from prohibition to post-war tensions. As always, the cast of characters includes a mix of well-known pop culture figures and original creations, with voices provided by various celebrity guest stars.

The opening sketch features Marsupilami, a 90s animated character, making his way through a series of challenges to become the main character of his own show. However, he soon realizes that he may not be cut out for the fame and fortune that comes with being a TV star.

The show then shifts to a sketch about a bar in the 1940s during prohibition. A seemingly innocent woman walks into the establishment and turns out to be a detective working for the FBI. She proceeds to interrogate the patrons and staff, unveiling various illegal activities and secrets in the process.

The next sketch is set during World War II, where a group of American soldiers are tasked with stealing a German tank. However, when they encounter a group of enemy soldiers who have turned the tank into a mobile disco, they must engage in a dance-off to determine the tank's ownership.

Another segment features a family traveling to California during the 1950s. They take a detour to Area 51 and are shocked to discover that aliens not only exist, but have been living among humans for years. The family is eventually recruited by the aliens to participate in a galactic race against other extraterrestrial beings.

The following sketch parodies the TV show The Price is Right, set in the 1940s. Contestants are asked to guess the price of various wartime items such as gas masks and bomb shelters. However, the game takes a dark turn when one of the contestants is revealed to be a spy trying to steal information for the Japanese.

In another segment, a group of Hellenic gods try to advertise their religion in Ancient Greece. However, their efforts are met with little success due to competition from other religions such as Judaism and Christianity.

The episode concludes with a parody of the TV show The Twilight Zone, where a woman wakes up in an alternate reality where she is the only human left on Earth. She soon discovers that her new reality is a result of an alien experiment and must convince them to restore her previous life.

Overall, We Don't See Much of That in 1940s America takes a humorous yet insightful look at various eras and events in American history, making use of the show's signature stop-motion animation and witty pop culture references. Fans of the series can expect another enjoyable and entertaining episode from Robot Chicken.
