Watch Robinson Crusoe's Treasure Island
- 2012
"Robinson Crusoe's Treasure Island" (2012) is a historical documentary. The novel "Robinson Crusoe" was based on an account of a real person, Alexander Selkirk. He had been a sailor who was marooned on an island for mutiny. He languished there for four years. The island had other visitors over the centuries. It became a hideout for pirates and adventurers. Spanish conquistadores made their way there. Some of these reprobates buried their gold, silver, and jewels on the island -- and one large treasure is said to still be there.
